Bill Bowerman by Sung Chul Hong 2018-2020
Waterfall Mansion & Gallery developed the site specific works of Sung Chul Hong for Nike headquarters in Beaverton, OR. Hong has created dynamic elastic string installation honoring Nike’s co-founder, Bill Bowerman at Le Bron James Building. Hong used about 8,290 customized strings of 11'4" for each string which were applied with actual Nike Shoe aglets. Hong’s work created a sense of movement in time, energy with Bill’s portrait images.
