About the exhibition:

Ronald Paul Seymour resides in Waverly, New York. Ronald began drawing at the early age of three with the encouragement of his grandmother, and began painting classes at the Roberson Museum in Binghamton, New York at age seven. Upon graduating high school, Ronald received a scholarship to study fashion illustration and design at the Pittsburg Art Institute.

His illustration background led him to several commissions by Camel Cigarettes, Budweiser Corporation, IBM, Guthrie Foundation for Medical Research Magazine and has made it into many public collections including Faberge’s Joe Nameth Collection, The United States Pentagon as well as many national private collections.

Over the years, Ronald has assembled a collection of intricate drawings from memory based on themes of fantasy worlds where animals, beasts, and humans dwell with on another, sometimes morphing into each other through bizarre narrative juxtapositions. His works is reminiscent of the graphic line quality of 16th Century German printmaker, Albrecht Durer. Ronald’s quirky, humorous eccentric, sometimes Freudian takes on the social interactions between man and beast evoke shock, laughter, and introspection.
